The face behind The Dog Nook at Cranbrook

Chelsea

I am the founder of The Dog Nook at Cranbrook - a cosy, home-based daycare and boarding service built from a lifelong love of dogs.

After several years in HR, in 2025 I followed my heart and created a safe, loving space where dogs feel at home and owners feel confident leaving them in my care.

Dogs have always been part of my life. From my childhood companions, to my own dogs, Pippa, Posie, and Alma, I’ve learned firsthand the joy, challenges, and importance of compassionate care - especially through experience with senior dogs and those with medical needs.

I’m DBS checked, Dog First Aid qualified, and experienced with allergies, medication, and dogs of all ages. For me, this isn’t just a business - it’s a way of life. I treat every dog with the same love and respect I give my own.

Pippa is the sassy sweet potato of the house - laid back and independent, but with a bark that I am sure all our neighbours can hear.

Our energetic wildflower - She is sweet, sociable, and partial to a snuggle under the duvet as the little spoon.

Our Mexican Señorita - after crossing paths in Mexico, she joined the pack. She’s sensitive but full of love - a total goof once she trusts you.
